TRIP TO KRABI
WAT THAM SUA-TIGER TEMPLE
VIDEO
The provincial town of Krabi is one of the many stops on NAUI team tours. A holiday in Thailand is not only about beaches and bars, but mainly about getting to know the local culture, and Buddhism is definitely that. We will guide you to one of the most sacred Buddhist temples in Thailand, WAT THUM SUA-TIGER TEMPLE. The establishment of the temple dates back to 1975. Legend has it that the tiger sleeping in the cave always let out a wild roar at sunrise and the name TIGER CAVE TEMPLE or WAT THUM SUA came about.
Well, it wouldn’t be a trip with the NAUI team, so that the trip is not etched in your memory. The engraving will be from the amazing climb over 1300 steps to the top of the ridge where the impressive golden statue of BUDDHA sits. Views from the top of the beautiful rock formations that were used in the movie Avatar after computer editing.
For participants of the trip who do not dare to climb the 1,300 steps, a small but equally interesting circuit is prepared in the area in a closed valley full of caves with stalactite and Buddhist decorations. In the central temple, to which the legend with the tiger is connected, there are interesting elements of decoration, watching the rituals of the monks’ prayers will end this visit beautifully.
A good trip includes a tasty lunch at the SANTAFÉ restaurant and, before leaving for your resorts, a relaxing bath in the thermal springs, which will regenerate our tired legs and we return to Ko Lanta full of impressions.
